VCA Holds it 1st Annual Pumpkin Patch
The Vanished Children's Alliance (VCA) has just completed it 1st Annual Pumpkin Patch. The patch was open from October 17-31, 2005 and was located in the parking lot of the Maplewood Shopping Center, 2638 Union Avenue, San Jose, CA. The space for the patch was generously provided by Mr. Joe Kovalik, Maple Leaf Investments. The pumpkin patch was also supported by the Maplewood Plaza merchants.
The pumpkin patch was staffed through a combination of full-time VCA staff and a large contingent of volunteers from Advanced RISC Machines, Inc. (ARM), Sunnyvale, CA. Without their support this project would not have been possible. We applaud ARM and their dedicated staff for caring about children and giving back to the community.
VCA intends to make this an annual event and use it to expand the services to children and families.
To ALL that came to the pumpkin patch and supported our efforts by buying pumpkins, we sincerely thank you helping VCA in "Making Homecomings Possible."
